At approximately 10 PM, Smith County ESD2’s Battalion 1, Captain 1, Noonday, Flint-Gresham, and Bullard Fire Departments were dispatched for a reported residence on fire. Upon arrival, Noonday Fire Engine 1 reported that the mobile home was fully involved in flames.
Fortunately, all occupants were accounted for and outside the residence. Smith Co. Sheriff Deputies were on hand to help, and UT EMS staged nearby for any potential injuries.
Due to the lack of fire hydrants in the immediate vicinity, firefighters relied on Engines and Tanker trucks to supply water to the scene. Despite this obstacle, the firefighters worked quickly and efficiently, resulting in a control time to be called at 10:35PM.
The Smith County Fire Marshal’s Office was present at the scene to investigate the incident, and the Coffee City Fire Department also responded to help.
No injuries were reported, but the mobile home was deemed a total loss. The cause of the fire is unknown to Emergency Media, and no further information has been released.
